David started out as an Inspector of taxes before a successful career in consulting with Ernst & Young and Watson Wyatt. He then felt he ought to get a real job and joined Zurich Financial Services to help deliver the integration of the UK businesses and transformation required to enable a return to profitability. He then took on a variety of European roles including European Head of Compensation and Performance Management, HR Director for the Zurich Connect brand across Europe, HR Director for Eastern Europe and HR Chief of Staff Europe. His focus in all these roles was on the very senior teams and the top talent. David then made the unusual leap from Financial Services to Retail Fashion and joined New Look where he was appointed as Group HR Director responsible for over 1,000 outlets and over 27,000 staff globally. He was a member of the Executive Team that transformed New Look Retailers from a loss making business with a major debt problem to a refinanced business posting a strong positive set of results.David is now consulting with the emphasis on Leadership as a lever of engagement and transformation. He is an NLP practitioner and a certified hypnotherapist. A member of the European Coaching and Mentoring Council, the Institute of Leadership and Management, he has completed Ashridge Business School’s ‘Coaching for Organisational Consultants’ program. He works with individuals, teams and businesses to help people achieve their potential.
